Himalayan Hospital Jolly Grant renders complimentary health consultation to 102 patients

Pauri- Himalayan Hospital Jolly Grant administered a free health camp in Gram Sabha Toli, Dudhrakhal Pauri Garhwal. 102 patients benefited from the telemedicine center 'Himalayan Sanjeevani Clinic' steered by the hospital. Medicines were also distributed and free checkups conducted.
The Community Medicine Department of Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS) organized the camp under the leadership of Dr. AK Srivastava at 'Himalayan Sanjeevani Clinic" and 'Gauri Himalayan School of Science and Technology" located in Toli Pauri Garhwal.
Patients started thronging the camp from the morning itself. Dr. Neha Sharma from the Community Medicine department, along with checking the health of the women, underlined the importance of cleanliness. She provided relevant information on menstruation and also dispensed sanitary napkins to the women. Dr. Sukant Tomar from the Orthopedics department informed the patients about knee and shoulder exercises. Dr. Anuj Saini examined the patients suffering from skin diseases and provided valuable information about their prevention. General Medicine (Physician) Dr. Arpit Singh provided health advice to patients suffering from various problems. Dr. Deepti Nagrath examined the patients suffering from dental problems and provided information about dental hygiene.
Gram Pradhan Toli Vipin Dhasmana appreciated Himalayan Hospital for providing exceptional services to the people living in remote areas.
He opined that patients benefit greatly from the availability of initial tests and treatment in the hills, and only opt for the city on emergency cases.
Approximately 102 patients benefited from the free health camp. Pharmacist Neeraj Khantwal conducted free health tests and also distributed medicines to the patients. Dr. Nancy Barthwal, Dr. Anmol Srivastava, Dr. Anubha Sagar, Arjun from Nursing, Gargi Tyagi, Rahul Negi, student of MSc Epidemiology and assistant Mastram provided their support in conducting the camp.

Free medicines distributed
Dr. AK Srivastava of the Community Medicine Department of Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences said that along with free medicine distribution, necessary health tests were done of patients who attended the camp. Apart from this, travel arrangements were in place.
