SRHU Chancellor Dr Dhasmana inaugurates state of the Art Cath Lab at Himalayan Hospital

Chancellor of Swami Rama Himalayan University, Dr Vijay Dhasmana inaugurated a hi-tech Cath Lab at the hospital, here, today. This cath lab has been described as an international level hi-tech state-of-the-art cardiac centre. Dr Vijay Dhasmana, after formally inaugurating the cardiac unit, dedicated it to public health.
The newly constructed state-of-the-art Cath lab is stated to be the first major Cardiac Centre of Uttarakhand. Dr Dhasmana stated that keeping in mind the convenience of the patients, the Himalayan Hospital is continuously increasing the health facilities. He added it is the only select hospital in the country to have such well equipped state of the art and such a large cardiac centre which measures up to any at the international level. He further claimed that this is the only and first dedicated large cardiac centre for heart patients in Uttarakhand.
Vice Chancellor Dr Vijendra Chauhan, Chief Medical Superintendent Dr SL Jethani, Dr Anurag Rawat, Dr Kunal Gururani, Dr Chandramohan Belwal, Dr Deepak Oberoi and Registrar Dr Sushila Sharma were among those present on this occasion.
Head of the Cardiology Department at the hospital, Dr Anurag Rawat said that not only Uttarakhand, patients from western Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and other states come for treatment to the Himalayan Hospital. After the inauguration of such a modern Cath Lab, a larger number of patients will be able to get quick and quality health benefits. This will also reduce the waiting list for the treatment of patients.
